Confirmation

As time was approaching for me to make a decision to become a missionary I am begining to become overwhelmed and worried with the thought. I opened up my devotional book on Friday, (Aug. 22) and this is the verse that God had given me...

"Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God's PEACE, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:6-7

So I prayed that morning and thanked God for even being in this place of great decision and asked Him to reveal His will to me. Well, later on that day He revealed Himself through another scriputre...

"So Jesus sait to them again, 'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.'" John 20:21

So I feel as though God is calling me...calling me where????
Well, the very next day I got my letter from the International Mission Board with my proposed assignment in Kampala, Uganda. WoW...Africa!!! That is just crazy...who would of thought that I would move to Africa....that is a lot to take in. It took me almost a week to sign the assignment paper and turn it in, but it is out there and I will be heading of to training in January....all I can say is WoW!!!

Call to Missions

This is my call to missions:
Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."
Then I said, "Alas, Lord GOD!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
Because I am a youth."
But the LORD said to me,
"Do not say, 'I am a youth,'
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And all that I command you, you shall speak.
"Do not be afraid of them,
For I am with you to deliver you," declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 1:4-9
